In our changing world, the role of Occupational Safety and Health Administration intensified Post-September 11th, 2001 (9/11). The new trends in this field, tailored to Arab countries, emerged from the analytical studies organized by the Arab Expert Center (AREX). A team of Specialized Industrial Safety scholars (SISS) conducted the studies with cooperation of the Arab League Organization education and training arm, the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime (AA). The studies uncover that no reputable international Arabic educational organization specialized in HSE (Health, Safety, & Environmental) training activities, yet.
On the other hand, The Rocky Mountain Education Center, OSHA Training Institute of Red Rock College (RRCC) was established in October 1992. The US. Department of Labor, Occupational Safety and Health Administration selected the OSHA Training Institute, Rocky Mountain Education Center(RRCC) as part of a pilot program along with (3) three other educational centers to provide health and safety training programs to public and private sectors in the USA.
The high quality,
effective training programs produced by the original
(4) four educational centers resulted in an
additional forty-eight OSHA Training Institutes
nationwide.
At the end of 2009, AREX signed an agreement with RRCC College to conduct exclusively a package of HSE (Health, Safety, & Environmental) courses in the Arabic language exclusively for HSE professionals. AREX-OSHA authorized instructors would teach the following Diplomas in Cairo- Dubai or any other site in the Arab world :
1- Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) General Diploma
2- Industrial Security Management Diploma
3- Oil & Gas Diploma
As a result, RRCC College would grant programs ' students the certificates of graduation .
